Raptors! Nesting under the Triboro Bridge, right at the end of my block. I think they're red-tailed hawks (because their tails are, um, red) but some in the neighborhood assert they are Cooper's hawks. I'm not an ornithologist - all I know is that they have feathers, wings, and some pointy bits. If anybody out there can positively identify the critters, please do so in comments.
And my apologies for the "Bigfoot-sighting" quality of my photography - my little Canon PowerShot isn't ideal for nature photography.
